Our Church
Dedicated to St. Maximus the Confessor, our church is a vibrant Orthodox parish located in the iconic countryside of Owego, New York, not far from the city of Binghamton.
It welcomes people of all backgrounds to the "faith once delivered unto the nations" (Jude 1:3) and embraces the beauty of traditional Orthodox Christianity. Our mission is to bring a light unto the world and to call all men to the original teaching of the apostles and authentic life in Christ. This teaching and life are uniquely embodied in the holy, catholic, and apostolic Church - the Orthodox Christian church - which Christ, the Lord Himself, founded two thousand years ago.
Services are celebrated primarily in English and accompanied by Byzantine chant sung without instruments.
